Set off at 4:30 am, for a 2 hours picturesque drive towards the northern part of the country to the  Volcanoes National Park, natural habitat to endangered mountain gorillas. It is advisable that you reach at the Headquarters for briefing before 7:00 am. You will need to carry packed breakfast.

On arrival at the park headquarters, a cup of coffee or tea is served while enjoying the cultural troupe dancing and singing to the guests.   The gorilla groups are allocated to the guests at random at the park headquarters. However, our experienced guides have, over  time, built a strong relationship with the park wardens. They normally talk to them before time and express the clients’ interests in specific gorilla groups. They normally get a positive response over this.

The trek may last from 1-8 hours depending on the movements of the gentle giants.

Upon return, go for lunch and then transfer  back to Kigali for drop off at your hotel or at the airport .
