Day 1 :  Transfer  To Volcanoes National Park

On Day 1, you will be picked from your hotel for a transfer to Ruhengeri, the base area for mountain gorilla tracking. Upon arrival, you can to while away the afternoon strolling around the lodge but to many of our guests, an authentic village tour is so rewarding as you get an opportunity to interact with the friendly local people.

Dinner and overnight stay at Mountain Gorillas View Lodge/ 5 Volcanoes Lodge (Luxury)/ Da Vinci Lodge, Gorillas Volcanoes Hotel, Le bamboo Lodge (Mid-Range)/Muhabura Hotel (Budget).

Day 2:  Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Kigali

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing on the etiquette of the mountain gorillas. When the gorilla groups to be visited are allocated, you will transfer to the starting point of the trek. It is a strenuous but worthwhile hike; Once the gorillas are found you will spend one hour in their presence taking photos as they jump around playing and eating. This experience draws one to the real side of natural beauty. The activity immerses you into the strange intimacy of the rainforest plus a live call of colorful birds, chattering of the rare golden monkey, and littered with fresh spoor of the mountain elusive populations of buffalo and elephant. Upon return, go for lunch and afterwards transfer back to Kigali.
